FIRES Researchers Dilli and Elert win best paper award at IECER2016
At the IECER2016 Conference FIRES researchers Dilli and Elert were awarded the Best Paper Award for their paper: The Diversity of Entrepreneurial Regimes in Europe. Presented in the FIRES Track at the conference the jury commended her innovative approach and the clear practical implications of the work for effective entrepreneurship policy making. Of course many of the german participants were a bit surprised to find their country clustering together with Italy and the Mediterranean countries, but when considering the strong emphasis on small and medium sized “Mittelstand” and family businesses in manufacturing, perhaps it should not be so surprising after all. It just proves we need to look at the data and expect the unexpected in FIRES. Big congratulations for Selin and Niklas from all of us!
